We are looking for a graduate/planner (2-5 years’ experience) with a genuine enthusiasm for Transport Planning to join our London team. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the technical excellence of the team and can expect considerable experience on a variety of interesting and challenging projects. Our Transport team undertakes development planning work, providing advice to private sector and local authority clients on access and transportation issues and supporting development proposals through the planning process.
The successful candidate can expect to gain exposure to the following areas within the Transport Planning discipline: Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Transport Statements; Scheme Appraisal; Parking Studies; Strategic Transport Studies; Transport Surveys; Traffic Engineering.
The role demands a proactive approach in a team environment and offers substantial opportunity for career progression within the company. Assistance in preparation of reports and calculations Undertaking surveys, and research for projects.
Qualifications: BSc/ BEng in Civil Engineering or Geography. Knowledge of Traffic Assessments, Travel Plans, Transport Statements. Good communicator (written and verbal). Desire to be Chartered through relevant Professional Bodies (eg CIHT, CILT, TPP).
Senior Transport Planner
We are looking for a Senior Transport Planner (5-10 years’ experience) to join our London team. As a Senior Transport Planner you will need to possess the necessary experience, knowledge and technical expertise to assist the project manager on each commission for which their support and assistance is required.
Candidates must be conversant with national and local planning guidance and technical design standards and be up-to-date with the latest tools available to ensure the accuracy of the advice given in the field of transport planning/highway design.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities associated with the role will include being prepared to be the direct point of contact on project-related matters, provide essential support for more senior personnel to ensure successful delivery of a commission, provide expertise and assistance in all aspects of highway engineering and/or transportation planning (writing Transport Assessments, Travel Plans etc) and to ensure each and every commission is delivered to the budget and timescale agreed with the client.
