Our Work

Yes transport

Providing transport planning advice across the UK

YES Transport works nationwide providing transport planning advice to developers, land owners, architects, planners, faith based organisations, and local authorities on all aspects of transport planning.

We pride ourselves in developing innovative transport and highway engineering solutions for a diverse range of development projects both small and large.

Client relationships are very important to us and we are always available to give initial advice on potential schemes as transport matters (access, parking, servicing, congestion) are critical to the success of a project.

Transport Team are pleased to welcome Jack Smith to the company, he provides a wealth of experience in preparing Transport Assessments and associated reports across the UK and is a whizz when it comes to TfL’s new Healthy Streets approach.

I’m pleased to say that the London Borough of Hounslow planning committee resolved to grant consent an application for 51 residential dwellings on a brownfield site near Feltham Town Centre. The scheme will bring the currently vacant former Eldridge Care Home site back into use after being closed back in 2010.

We are delighted to help secure planning permission for 128 affordable units in Herts. A great effort by all the team involved.

Case STUDIES

Wembley West 1, High Road. Wembley

YES led on the transportation issues as part of a multi-disciplinary team appointed to provide engineering, environmental and transportation consultancy services. One of the main issues affecting the mixed use development (186 residential units, 1312m² commercial floor space, and 89 space replacement public car park) in Wembley, is servicing for the existing surrounding retail units.

The development provides enhanced pedestrian facilities on Curtis Lane, and improved bus stop circulation space on Montrose Crescent, so close liaison with public transport providers in the area was key.

Organ and Dragon, London Rd, Ewell, Surrey

YES gave evidence as Expert Witness on behalf of Epsom & Ewell Borough Council following refusal of planning permission for a KFC restaurant and drive through facility despite officer recommendation for approval. The application was refused on traffic safety grounds.

We successfully argued that the development would have a detrimental impact on the road network in close proximity to the signalised junction of London Road/A240 (Ewell By-Pass).

Lewisham/Bromley Primary Schools

YES has prepared Transport Assessments and Green Travel Plans for planning applications for both Lewisham and Bromley primary school regeneration schemes.
The role included managing a number of teams across several disciplines through the planning process and engaging with stake holders.

Beaconsfield and Gerrards Cross Parking Studies, South Bucks

YES prepared a Parking Study report for both Beaconsfield and Gerrards Cross town centres to assess the demand for public car parking to 2033.

The work involved obtaining existing levels of parking demand within the public car parks, on-street, at the railway station, and in commercial uses that do not charge for use of their car parks.

Future development for their Local Plan period, and growth in car ownership levels were used to establish the future number of spaces needed.
